We Now Have a Support Section!

Recently we've have quite a lot of emails from people needing help with their Firefox/Thunderbird installation. Although I've been happy to reply to those emails, there are quicker ways to get help. So, this morning I added a Support page to the site which directs you to the official Firefox and Thunderbird community support sites (and includes some commonly used articles).

We're still happy to answer emails for help and added a "Support" category to the contact form for this purpose (but be prepared to wait longer than you would on SuMo and SuMoMo.)

Happy Help Finding!

Merry Christmas (and a Happy New Year) from Mozilla UK!

As Slade once so wonderfully put it:

IT'S CHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

And to celebrate, we thought we'd remind you that Firefox Live is still broadcasting a live feed of the firefox cubs at Knoxville Zoo.

Don't they ever get tired of being cute?!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everybody!

Firefox (and Mozilla) in 2011

Christmas is just days away (oh cripes, I haven’t got Christmas presents for anyone yet!) which means that the New Year is just a few days further, so now is a perfect time to look back on the awesomeness for Mozilla, Firefox and the web in 2011.

Firefox 2011

Firefox 4

The year started with the epic release of Firefox 4. Firefox 4 brought swathes of new features including a new, streamlined interface, Firefox Sync, annd better performance. However, let’s not allow that voice you hear inside your head when you read stuff to bore you about what was new, but let Johnathan Nightingale, Director of Engineering, do it instead:

First there was MozFest, then there was MozCamp...

...next, MozWorld!

There have been a barrage of Mozilla events for UK Mozillians recently:

Haven't blogged for more than a month!

Whoops! Don't worry, we're not all dead! Here's some of the stuff we've been doing over the summer:

FuzzyFox has been getting ready to go to the university of Kent (and is now there!)
Tobbi is doing an internship at Mozilla in MV, yay! (He's doing WebQA)
TMZ has been doing his usual backend stuff, keeping the website up and running.
And I've been doing a little bit of frontend stuf: adding events to the events calendar, and adding more feeds to the planet, among other things.

So, here's to hoping that I don't forget to blog for another whole month!

We’re back!

Did somebody say PAAAAAAAARTY!!!?

Uh, yeah, about that: there isn’t actually a party (but you can pull some party poppers if you must!).

So, what’s all this “We’re back!” lark?

Well, some of you may have noticed that over the last week or two we’ve been “Down for Maintenance”.

And what were you doing?

What we were doing was revamping the website, our last website got a little old and dusty, and so we decided at the Community Meetup (which took place last April) to freshen things up a bit, this is the result of that!

That’s all well and good, but what can I do to help out?

Have a look around. We’re not superheroes (or we're just really modest) and so a few things may be broken - if you do come across anything that doesn't work as you’d expect please do get in contact.

Hmm... there’s not much here is there?
